He often collaborates with a group of dancers based in Roma, Italy, with whom he experiments connections between sound and dance.

As a composer he wrote for jazz combos, big band, wind ensemble as well as solo works.

Years of study

Originally from Italy, Simone moved to the US to study Jazz Trumpet at the New England Conservatory in Boston.

There he mastered the art of trumpet and improvisation with teachers of the highest caliber such as John McNeil, Jason Palmer, Miguel Zenon, Steven Emery, Marshall Gilkes and Ran Blake.

He graduated in May 2022 with academic honors.

A passionate educator

Simone is passionate about teaching. His philosophy is to enhance the students with the technical skills necessary to play the instrument while developing a creative side at the same time: technique informs creativity and viceversa!

Simone has been active in the Geneva area as a brass teacher and general music teacher, working with students of different ages, from K-1 through high school. Especially with young students he likes to incorporate games and Dalcroze activities in his classes; this way the learning environment becomes fun and the kids can make connections between music and movement.
